Bechamel Sauce For Lasagna
This classic lasagna is made with a traditional ragu bolognese and a creamy white béchamel sauce.
Bechamel sauce for lasagna. Add nutmeg and salt. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f. Perfect for the whole family. 1 2 cup all purpose flour.
Start by heating the butter and whisk in equal parts flour cooking it just until it turns a light golden color. To make bechamel sauce melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and whisk in the flour. This lasagna is packed full of flavor with layers of lasagna noodles a rich beef and tomato sauce a creamy white sauce and topped with cheese. Cook stirring with a wooden spoon making sure to scrape bottom and sides until sauce is thick and creamy about 15 minutes.
Lasagna takes time but it is definitely worth it. Whisk in milk a little at a time. Allow the flour and butter to cook until light and foamy about 2 minutes whisking constantly. If any lumps form stir sauce rapidly with a whisk.
Whisk remaining milk into pan. Next gradually whisk in milk until it thickens into a silky pourable sauce about 10 minutes or so.
